This nationally recognised unit provides you with the skills and knowledge required to operate a forklift truck safely in accordance with all relevant legislative requirements. Enrolment Requirements
Be at least 18 years of age
Provide 100 points of Identification (e.g., Passport, Driver’s Licence, Medicare Card)
Have a Unique Student Identifier (USI)
Possess a basic level of English literacy and numeracy
Wear closed in shoes

Conducting pre-start, operational, and shutdown checks
Identifying and controlling workplace hazards
Safe load handling, including capacity and stability calculations
Manoeuvring in tight spaces and through chicanes
Safe shutdown and securing of the equipment

Outcome: Upon successful completion, you will receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment and the paperwork required to apply for your High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) with Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ)
