This nationally recognised unit provides you with the skills and knowledge required to operate a telescoping, hinged, or articulated boom-type elevating work platform (with a boom length of 11 metres or more) safely. Whether you are working in construction, mining, or electrical maintenance, our 2-day intensive course is designed to get you qualified and moving.

Enrolment Requirements
Be at least 18 years of age
Provide 100 points of Identification (e.g., Passport, Driver’s Licence, Medicare Card)
Have a Unique Student Identifier (USI)
Possess a basic level of English literacy and numeracy
Wear closed in shoes

Conducting pre-start, operational, and shutdown checks
Identifying and controlling workplace hazards (weather, powerlines, ground conditions)
Safe operation of the boom, including slewing and platform positioning
Emergency procedures and manual descent systems
Harness safety and fall arrest equipment requirements

Outcome: Upon successful completion, you will receive a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment and the paperwork required to apply for your High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) with Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ)
