Course Overview
This nationally recognised unit provides the skills and knowledge required to perform rigging at an advanced level. Building on your intermediate experience, this course covers the rigging of gin poles and shear legs, flying foxes and cableways, guyed derricks and structures, and suspended scaffolds. Our 5-day intensive program is designed for the high-level professional who needs to plan and execute sophisticated rigging systems safely and precisely.

Enrolment Requirements
Be at least 18 years of age
Hold a current National High Risk Work Licence for Intermediate Rigging (RI). (Mandatory prerequisite)
Provide 100 points of Identification
Have a Unique Student Identifier (USI)
Possess a high level of physical fitness and the advanced numeracy required for complex load and tension calculations
Wear closed in shoes
What You Will Learn
Rigging of Gin Poles & Shear Legs: Setting up and operating traditional and modern vertical lifting systems
Flying Foxes & Cableways: Planning and installing overhead cable systems for material transport
Guyed Derricks & Structures: Mastering the tensioning and stability requirements of guyed rigging systems
Suspended Scaffolds: Safe installation and operation of swing stages and suspended work platforms
Fabricated Frameworks: Managing the complex rigging and placement of high-level fabricated structures
Safety & Engineering Logic: Advanced understanding of load forces, tensioning, and site-wide risk management
